    The final battle

The final battle for the 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux title took place at Circuit Zolder in Zonhoven between 11th and 13th October. The season has been closely fought, with six different winners across the ten races. As the final dawned, D’Ieteren Luxury Performance’s Benjamin Paque lay in third place, still in the running for the title behind Dirk Schouten, who had won three races over the season, and his teammate Paul Meijer in second place.

Every class had a fight on its hands as the final races began: Kobe Pauwels (D’Ieteren Luxury Performance) was leading the Rookie contest, with Sam Jongejan not far behind, and third place still being fiercely contended. In the PRO-AM class, Jani Käkelä and Jules Grouwels were set to battle it out for the title, and in the team championship, D’Ieteren Luxury Performance was in hot pursuit of Q1 Trackracing leads.

A result to be proud of

The action-packed weekend saw Meijer triumph in the first race, clinching the second place position overall with Paque coming in third. In the Rookie contest, Pauwels came fourth in the first race and Jongejan triumphed in the second, but it was not enough to knock Pauwels off the top spot — he claimed the Rookie title and 8th place overall. Käkelä held onto the lead for the PRO-AM class.

Team victory remained just out of reach for D’Ieteren Luxury performance with Q1 Trackracing leads claiming first place. However, the hard-won 3rd, 1st and 2nd place results for 2024, have D’Ieteren Luxury Performance looking forward to 2025, and hoping all roads lead to even greater success.
